Hearing Aids

A wide range of technology and a host of features are available in each hearing aid style. The cost of hearing aids generally depends on the technology, lifestyle, features, models, and budget. Today's digital devices are typically offered in various levels such as basic or entry-level to advanced or premium-level. Within each level, different technology and features are available.

IIC Hearing Aids

Invisible In The Canal (IIC)

Invisible hearing aids, which are also called invisible-in-the-canal aids or IIC hearing aids, offer some of the best hearing correction available at the smallest size on the market.
Our specialist will evaluate your hearing loss, lifestyle, and budget to see if your are the right candidate for an IIC.

  • Comfort: Many patients find IIC hearing aids comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time without issue.
  • Discretion: No one but you has to know you wear a hearing aid.
  • High-Quality Sound: IIC aids transmit sound much closer to the eardrum than most other models, which reduces ambient noise.

CIC Hearing Aids

Completely In The Canal (CIC)

Modern technology has brought us many different types of hearing aids, including in the canal, in the ear, and behind the ear. CIC aids are meant to be nearly invisible. You will insert your hearing aid directly into your ear canal and use an attached removal string to take the device out at night.

CIC hearing aids work best for those who haven't experienced severe hearing loss, as they aren't as powerful as larger models, but they will significantly improve your hearing. The volume adjusts automatically according to the sound levels in the area and placing the hearing aid in the canal prevents interference by unrelated background noise.

Since the controls and removal string are very small, it's a good idea to test out the hearing aid and see if you can easily manipulate it. Pacific Hearing Care will happily work with you to find a hearing aid you can handle comfortably.
ITE Hearing Aids

In The Ear (ITE)

In-canal hearing aids, also called in-the-canal aids or ITC aids, often represent the perfect solution for patients who want discretion without diminishing the ease of operation.

ITE aids are some of the smallest hearing aids available.ITC hearing aids often work best for the elderly, who may struggle with removal, insertion, or volume control.

Benefits of ITE Hearing Aids:
  • Comparable hearing improvement to other aid types
  • Discreet appearance and secure insertion
  • Slightly larger size, which can make controls easier to use
BTE Hearing Aids
BTE Hearing Aids

Behind The Ear (BTE)

Slim Tubing with Dome
Behind the Ear (BTE) with Slim Tubing allows the clients to hear sharper, clearer and less occlusion effect than custom hearing aid models. The Slim Tubing model is ideal for clients who suffer from chronic ear problems/ear drainage since there is no electrical wire components in the ear canal. In addition, may be more appropriate for those with smaller ear canals. BTE with Slim Tubing are more appropriate for a mild to moderately severe hearing loss.
