With the advant of blue-tooth technology, a whole new
paradigm exists that greatly enhances the utility of hearing aids. Hearing aids
can now be paired to work with various wireless devices. A remote
control can be used to control volume, and adjust one's hearing aids to various
listening envionments. In addition, television sound can now be controlled, and
transmitted directly to one's hearing aids without making changes to the
television volume that others may hear while watching television at the same
time. Also, a cell phone can be used hands-free with the Caller's voice
being received by the hearing aids, and the Hearing Aid User conversing by
simply speaking close to the phone clip. With a push of the button located
on the phone clip, calls can be conveniently received or ended on one's cell
phone.
