(Custom In-The-Ear)
The Custom hearing aids are custom made to fit the
contours of one's ear canal. They are easy to insert, discreet in appearance,
and are available in various model sizes (Full-shell,
Half-shell, Canal, Mini-Canal, Completely-In-the-Canal [CIC]). The size and shape of the ear canal along with the type of
hearing loss determine the most suitable custom model hearing aid for one's
hearing loss, and Custom hearing aids are suitable for a mild to moderately
severe hearing loss.
REMOTE MIC CUSTOM
(Remote Microphone Custom)
The Remote Microphone Custom hearing aid is custom made to
fit comfortably in the ear canal. The microphone is positioned in the
outer ear, and is connected to the custom body of the hearing aid by a thin
transparent tube, and is suitable for mild to moderately severe hearing
loss.
BTE
(Behind-The-Ear)
The B.T.E. hearing aid is tucked behind the top of the
ear. A thin, transparent, tubing with a flexible wire inside connects the
hearing aid to a receiver that sits snugly in the ear canal, and is suitable for
all types of hearing loss.
